Cambridge, MA-  Lesley University Women's Volleyball grabs with first win of the 2017 season in a 3-0 win against Pine Manor.  The Lynx jumped out on the attack winning the first set 25-8, and had a  .571 hit percentage and thirteen kills in the first set.  They never looked back sweeping the Gators in three sets for their first victory of the season.

Senior Anni Abbruzzese led the way for the Lynx with 12 kills, .500% on hits, and 10 digs on defense.  Lesley Libero Wing Li played three tremendous sets to help secure the victory for the Lynx.  In the first set Lesley came out firing  on the attack and on defense, and did not allow a single kill from the Gators.

Pine manor started off the second set strong, but the Lynx took control of the match going on an 8-0 run for an 11-5 lead.  Li and Senior Kaylee Deluga had impressive defensive sets, each making 9 digs to hold off the Gators.  Deluga also chipped in with 9 kills to help lead the Lynx to a 25-19 win and 25-18 win in the final two sets.  

Freshman setter Tallin Goldberg demonstrated excellent finesse on her touches and tallied 27 assists on the night.  The Lynx are back in action this Saturday, September 9 when they host Salem State.
