A Mount Ida service error brought the Lynx to within 16-11 in Game 1 before the Mustangs busted out a 9-0 run assisted by three Lesley attack errors and two Fedigan kills to seal a 25-11 victory in the opener. The momentum carried over to the second set, when a pair of Goetchius service aces aided in a 7-0 run to start the game, and a pair of Goetchius kills in a 4-0 run later made the score 16-4 in the Mustangs 25-12 win.

The third set was markedly closer, as a Finbow kill tied the game at 9-9 in the early going. With Mount Ida leading 14-10, another Finbow kill in a Lynx 4-0 run tied the set at 14-14, but two more Goetchius kills sparked a 10-1 run that capped the Mustangs 25-15 win.
