CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley freshman Danielle Johnson was named All-New England Collegiate Conference Third Team, the league announced today.

Junior Megan Ortwein was named All-NECC Honorable Mention.

A two-time NECC Rookie of the Week selection, Johnson finished sixth in the league at 2.48 kills per set, a number that jumped to 2.91 in league play, good for fourth. The right side player also led the Lynx and finished second in the conference with 102 total kills in league play, leading the Lynx to a 4-4 NECC record and fifth-place finish.

Ortwein received Honorable Mention accolades for a second straight season. The junior outside hitter ranked ninth in the league with a .161 hitting percentage, which increased to .167 in NECC play. She finished 10th in kills per set both overall and in conference play, at 2.12 and 2.23, respectively, and her play in a late-season stretch that saw Lesley win five of six matches was crucial in the Lynx finishing .500 in conference play.  

Overall, Lesley finished 9-16, losing 3-0 to Daniel Webster in NECC First Round play last Tuesday.
