Lesley's Danielle Johnson has been named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.

The freshman led Lesley to a 4-0 week and No. 5 seeding in this week's NECC Tournament.

Johnson posted double-doubles in a pair of conference wins for the Lynx. On Wednesday in a 3-1 league road win at Regis, she totaled 10 kills and 19 digs. In sparking the Lynx comeback from an 0-2 deficit in the team's 3-2 win over Newbury on Sunday, Johnson led all players with four service aces and 22 kills while adding 12 digs.

She added 12 kills in a 3-2 win at Anna Maria and 14 digs in a 3-0 non-conference win at Mass Maritime.

Winners of five of six, Lesley has earned itself the No. 5 seed in the NECC Tournament and will travel to No. 4 DWC on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match. The winner will take on top seed Southern Vermont on Friday at 7 p.m.
