BOSTON, MA -- After leading the Lynx in kills in both matches during the Lynx 1-1 week, freshman Danielle Johnson has been named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.

The freshman threw down 16 kills to go along with 22 digs in the Lynx 3-2 loss to Bay Path on Saturday. In Lesley's 3-1 win over Commonwealth Coast Conference's Curry College, Johnson led all players with 13 kills and added 12 digs and four service aces.

Johnson and the Lynx return to play on Tuesday at Daniel Webster at 7:00 p.m.
