Rams rumble past Lynx in three

BOSTON -- Lesley dropped to 2-7 on the season with a 3-0 loss in non-conference play at Suffolk Tuesday night in Regan Gymnasium.

Suffolk jumped out to early leads in capturing the first two sets by the scores of 25-12 and 25-13, but Lesley ran with the Rams late into the final set before Suffolk squeaked out a 26-24 victory. 

For the Lynx, junior Kaitlyn Miller led the offense with 11 set assists, three to sophomore Victoria Ashley, who totaled three kills on eight attempts for a team-high .250 percentage.

Defensively, freshman Rachel Frederickson led the way with 14 digs and Ashley totaled three blocks, two on block assists with frosh Danielle Johnson. Miller and Kayla Henry led the team with seven digs each.

Suffolk, meanwhile, improves to 5-9 on the season with its third straight win.

Lesley stays in non-conference play against the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, returning home to take on Mount Ida College Thursday night at 7:30.
