NASHUA, NH - Lesley women's volleyball is off to its first ever NCAA Tournament after besting Daniel Webster 3-2 in the New England Collegiate Conference Championship.
Three-time NECC Player of the Week Amanda McCracken was named NECC Tournament Most Valuable Player, while reigning NECC Player of the Week Kaitlyn Miller and Meaghan Chadwick were named to the All-Tournament Team.
As she did in last night's semifinal win over Southern Vermont, McCracken led all players in kills, this time crushing 23 on 53 attempts made possible by Miller's 46 assists. McCracken denied a pair of Eagles on solo block and combined for five block assists, while Miller finished off a double-double on the defensive end with 11 digs.
Caitlyn Vandenburgh led the Lynx defense with 22 digs, while Miller added 11, Megan Ortwein added nine and Chadwick chipped in with eight.
TJ Hajjar's Lynx will learn its first round opponent when the NCAA Tournament field is announced on Monday. Watch live video of the NCAA Tournament field being revealed during Monday's 11 a.m. selection show live online here.
