Lynx get back in win column, 3-0, at Curry

MILTON, MA -- Lesley topped Curry for a second time this season, again besting their non-conference foe on the road, 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-22) in women's volleyball action Tuesday night.

Amanda McCracken posted her second double-digit kills performance in as many attempts against the Colonels, with team-high 10 in 17 attempts tonight.

Sophomore Kate Miller, who led all players with 31 assists when the teams met 17 days ago, split time at setter with freshman Maria Nazzaro on Tuesday. Miller handed out 14 assists, while Nazzaro dished out a career-high 11.

Defensively, sophomore Megan Ortwein, coming off a season-best 22 digs in Monday's 3-1 loss at Lasell, led the Lynx with nine digs and a solo block. McCracken, meanwhile, added a solo rejection of her own as the Lynx improved to 15-9 on the season.

After four matches in four days, TJ Hajjar's club takes three days off before hosting a pivotal New England Collegiate Conference tri-match on Saturday. The Lynx (4-1 NECC) play host to Elms (6-18, 2-3 NECC) at 2 p.m. and take on Southern Vermont (12-6, 4-1 NECC) with second place potentially up for grabs at 6 p.m.
