Lesley splits Daniel Webster tri-match

NASHUA, NH - Lesley split Saturday's New England Collegiate Conference tri-match, falling to host Daniel Webster 3-0 and taking a 3-0 win over Becker College.

The Lynx suffered their first loss in conference play to the Eagles, as Daniel Webster topped Lesley 25-18, 25-16, 25-21. In spite of tying Daniel Webster in the kills department, 29-29, Lesley's 24 kill errors we the Lynx downfall. Reigning NECC Player of the Week Amanda McCracken led all players with 14 kills, adding nine assists. Caitlyn Vandenburgh led the Lynx defense with a game-high 10 digs, while Kaitlyn Miller distributed a match-best 27 assists. 

With the win, Daniel Webster took over first place in the NECC, remaining perfect at 5-0.

Lesley took care of the Hawks in the second match, winning 26-24, 25-15, 25-15. McCracken again led in the kills category, this time with 14 and two solo blocks. Vandenburgh paced all players for a second time with 15 digs, and Miller tossed a match-best 26 assists.

At 14-8 and 4-1 in NECC play, Lesley looks to avenge a September 7 non-conference loss to Lasell, traveling to Newton for a rematch with the Lasers on Monday at 6 p.m.
