CAMBRIDGE, MA – Emmanuel College swept Lesley 3-0 on Tuesday, besting the Lynx 25-8, 25-10 and 25-18.

            Kathryne Olsen (Fairhaven, MA/Fairhaven) led the Saints with 23 assists and four blocks, while Rebecca Stanton (Quincy, MA/North Quincy) added 10 kills and three blocks.

            The Saints sprinted out to a 13-3 lead in the opening set and never looked back, taking the first two games with ease. Lesley got out to a 6-3 lead in Game 3 and later led 12-9, but Emmanuel stormed back with a 16-6 run to close out the set and complete the sweep.

            The Saints improve to 7-9 on the season, while the Lynx return to .500 at 7-7.

            For Lesley, two-time reigning New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week Amanda McCracken (Eldersburg, MD/Liberty) led all players with 12 kills and added a team-high two solo blocks. Libero Caitlyn Vandenburgh (Swansea, MA/Joseph Case) anchored the back line with 11 digs, and Kaitlyn Miller (Leesport, PA/Schuylkill Valley) added 14 assist for TJ Hajjar's club.

            Megan Murray (Killingsworth, CT/Haddam-Killingsworth) led all players with 14 digs for the Saints, which also got 11 from Samantha Andazola (Queen Creek, AZ/Mountain View).

            Lesley returns to action on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Curry College.
