Lynx make it three in a row with 3-2 win at WIT

BOSTON, MA -- TJ Hajjar's Lynx scored six of the last seven points in the fifth and deciding set, holding on for a 3-2 victory Wednesday night at Wentworth Institute of Technology in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

Sophomore Megan Ortwein set the tone with nine kills and 13 digs for Lesley, which won 25-15, 23-25, 25-19, 18-25, 15-8.

"Megan was by far the team leader," he said. "She played fearless tonight."

While Ortwein finished, Kate Miller played the role of distributor, handing out 35 assists to go along with 13 digs and seven service aces. Like Ortwein, fellow sophomore Amanda McCracken benefitted from Miller's giving, throwing down 15 kills to go with eight digs.

Hajjar's Lynx have won three in a row, including two straight on the road. Lesley hopes to keep the momentum alive Thursday night at CCRI at 7 p.m.
