Back-to-back NECC Player of the Weeks for McCracken

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- After leading her team to two league victories on Saturday, Lesley's Amanda McCracken has been named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for a second consecutive week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

In grasping Lesley sole possession of first place with wins over Mitchell and Bay Path, Amanda McCracken was again a dominant force at the net, totaling a .535 hitting percentage and blocking a shot per set. The sophomore was flawless in the Lynx 3-1 win over Mitchell, throwing down 21 kills to zero errors while getting up for seven blocks, posting a .600 hitting percentage. In the Lynx 3-0 win at Bay Path, McCracken hit .630, crushing 18 kills with only one error.

The 5-11 middle hitter paced Lesley with nine kills, a solo block and a block assist in Thursday's 3-0 out-of-conference loss at Mount Ida.

McCracken and the Lynx are in action again Tuesday night at 7:30, playing host to Emmanuel College at 7:30.
