CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University women's volleyball team extended their season high win-streak to four games with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-14) victory over Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponent Pine Manor College.
The victory improved Lesley's record to 8-11 (2-1 NECC) while Pine Manor dropped to 1-17 (0-8 GNAC).
Pine Manor held a lead early on in each of the three sets, but Lesley rebounded to string together a series of points to take each set.
Leading the way for the Lynx were Lindsey Marek (KILLINGWORTH, Conn./Haddam-Killingworth) and Amanda McCracken (ELDERSBURG, Md./Liberty) who were efficient attackers with eight and seven kills, respectively, with just three errors combined.
Freshman Kaitlyn Miller (LEESPORT, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) found her teammates with 21 set assists and Meaghan Chadwick (CHELMSFORD, Mass./Chelmsford) was solid defensively with a team-high eight digs.
For the Gators, four players were tied with a team-high two kills with Alie Johnston (WINNIPEG, ManitobaRiver East Collegiate) proving to be the most efficient with a 0.143 hit percentage.
Veronica Vozzolo (BELLMORE, N.Y./JFK) had a team-high eight digs to lead Pine Manor.
Lesley will be on the road on Thursday, October 22 for a non-conference match with Anna Maria College starting at 7:30 pm. Pine Manor will play in a GNAC trimatch hosted by Emerson College and includes Rivier College on Saturday, October 24.
