Lynx lose despite 16 kills from Marek

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Lesley University women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-20) loss to St. Joseph's College (CT) on Monday evening.  The defeat dropped the Lady Lynx record down to 2-7 on the season. 

Lindsey Marek (KILLINGWORTH, Conn./Haddam-Killingworth) registered a team-high 16 kills on 40 attempts to lead the Lynx.  This match brought him team leading kill total to 65 as the senior has averaged 2.32 kills/set. 

Also giving solid efforts in the match defensively were Alyssa Martin-Earisman (PASSAIC, N.J./Queen of Peace) and Megan Ortwein (SHANGHAI, China/Shanghai American School) who recorded 15 and 10 kills, respectively.

Kaitlyn Miller (LEESPORT, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) continued to play well from the setter position as the freshman tallied 29 set assists and currently averages 5.58 assists per set on the season.

Lesley will next travel down to the Coast Guard Academy to compete in a tri-match along with Bay Path College starting at 11:00 am.
