CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University women's volleyball team defeated Anna Maria College 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-22) on Senior Night as after the game the team honored four seniors, Kelly Harrington (Toledo, Ohio), Lindsey Marek (Killingworth, Conn.), Hana Sakamoto (Tokyo, Japan) and Gianna Spaziante (Hawthorne, N.Y.). 

The four seniors, who have represented the core of the women's volleyball team for the past few years, helped lead the Lynx to an impressive victory at home.  Lesley concludes the 2008 regular season with an 8-10 (5-2 NECC) record.

Marek led the team with a team-high eight kills.  Spaziante spread the ball out to several different teammates as she tallied 24 assists on the match.

Harrington was effective from the outside as she sent home six kills and served well, earning six aces.  Sakamoto, the team's libero, had a team-high six digs and also chipped in with three kills.

The Lynx will host a NECC Quarterfinal match on Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm against Mitchell College.  The winner will move on to the NECC Championship Tournament hosted by Daniel Webster College.
