CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The women's volleyball team faced off against Suffolk University and defeated the Rams 3-1 (25-20, 25-17, 17-25, 25-16).  The Lynx improved their record to 5-9 (4-1 NECC) while Suffolk dropped to 5-13 (3-4 GNAC).

Setter Gianna Spaziante (Hawthorne, N.Y.) dished out 24 assists, had five service aces, and tallied 11 digs in the victory to lead the Lynx.

Kelly Harrington (Toledo, Ohio) was extremely efficient as she tallied nine kills on 19 total attacks with just one error.  The senior had a 0.421 kill percentage.  Meaghan Chadwick (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Kaitlyn Wechsler (Merrick, N.Y.) were also effective as they finished the match with eight and seven kills, respectively.

Lesley jumped out to a 2-0 set lead and seemed as though they would complete a three set sweep.  Suffolk, however, showed some momentum towards the end of the second set and easily carried it into the third as they won the set 25-17.

The Lynx would take an early advantage in the fourth set that they would not relinquish as they took the match 3-1 for their fifth victory of the 2008 season.

Lesley will be in action on Tuesday, October 21 against Saint Joseph College (CT) at home starting at 7:30 pm.
