The Lesley University women's volleyball team is coming off of an unexpected successful season as the Lynx surging into the conference semifinals in 2007.  The Lynx are capable of becoming a perennial powerhouse in our the New England Collegiate Conference with the return of five strong, dedicated players.  Four seniors with strong leadership qualities, a first year class with drive and commitment for a strong team tradition of winning, and a recruiting program promising to form a foundation and building blocks for the future success are all part of what makes up this Lynx squad.

With Elizabeth Morris in her second year as head coach, the Lady Lynx are ushering a new, exciting era for the Lesley women's volleyball program.  Coach Morris, with the support of Assistant Coach Denise Hamilton, expects to take the team to another level in 2008 and beyond, including pushing past a semifinal finish for this season.

Anchoring our team in 08, returning players include: Megan Chadwick (Chelmsford, Mass.), Gianna Spaziante (Hawthorne, N.Y.), Kelly Harrington (Toledo, Ohio), Lindsey Marek (Killingworth, Conn.), and Hana Sakamoto (Tokyo, Japan).  Their leadership and strength will be key to our success.

Providing strength and drive in 2008 and the building blocks for the future of our program include new recruits:  Outside hitter Kayla Henry (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) who brings a positive attitude and intelligence in her position; setter Alyssa Martin-Earisman (Passaic, N.J.) who brings her speed, quickness on the court and ability to play smart to our team; outside hitter Emily O'Donnell (Bedford, Mass.) brings a great attitude and has defensive expertise that will keep us competitive; and middle blocker Kaitlyn Wechsler (Merrick, N.Y.) adds quick footwork and solid blocking.

Overall Lesley starts their 2008 season with a solid squad committed to improving our standing in the conference, showcasing our substantial skills, and building a tradition of teamwork and winning.
