Lynx stay poised with 3-2 triumph over Suffolk

BOSTON, Mass. - Sophomore Lindsey Marek (Killingworth, Conn.) notched 14 kills to lead Lesley to a 3-2 non-conference victory over Suffolk University on Tuesday with games scores 30-25, 25-30, 30-28, 24-30 and 15-9.

Junior Gianna Spaziante (Hawthorne, N.Y.), the team's veteran setter, added five aces for the Lynx who improved their overall record to 12-10 (6-2 NAC).  Hana Sakamoto (Tokyo, JAPAN) played well defensively as her 10 digs were crucial for setting up Lesley offensively.

The Lynx will finish up their regular season with two more non-conference games at St. Joseph College (CT) and Community College of Rhode Island.  Having won five of their last six matches, Lesley will look to carry their momentum into the NAC playoffs.

Currently standing in third place in the NAC, the Lynx will play host to a quarterfinal playoff game for the second consecutive season.
