Lesley dominates Mitchell 3-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The women's volleyball team rolled over Mitchell College with a final score of 3-0 on Wednesday night.

The Lynx seemed to find their groove against Mitchell as they were able to successfully run plays.  With a team high 11 kills, Lindsey Marek (Killingworth, Conn.) lead the way for the Lynx offense once again.  Beth Hoilund (Germantown, N.Y.) also contributed with 9 kills of her own.  Meaghan Chadwick (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Anya Vines (San Jose, Calif.) both chipped in with 6 kills each.

With so many teammates capable of getting points, it made life easy for junior setter Gianna Spaziante (Hawthorne, N.Y.) as she was able to tally 34 set assists.

Defensively for the Lynx, Kelly Harrington (Toledo, Ohio) and Vines totaled 20 and 15 digs, respectively.  Hoilund blocked the most shots on the night with three.

Lesley improved to 9-10 (5-2 NAC) on the season.  Their next match will be this Saturday October 20 in a home tri-match against Baypath College and Thomas College.  The Lynx will face off against Baypath at 1 p.m. and then Thomas at 4:30 p.m.
