CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In a back-and-forth battle with Green Mountain College, the Lesley University women's volleyball lost 3-2 in the fifth and deciding game.

Sophomore Lindsey Marek (Killingworth, Conn.) led the way offensively for the Lynx with a match total of 17 kills on 42 total attacks.  Jackie Ungaro (Valley Stream, N.Y.) was efficient on the court converting 50% of her attacks into points totaling 8 kills.

Defensively, the Lynx looked sharp as Meaghan Chadwick (Chelmsford, Mass.), Kelly Harrington (Toledo, Ohio), and Anya Vines (San Jose, Calif.) each contributed with double-digit digs.  Marek was solid blocking spike attempts up the middle with ten blocked shots.

Lesley and Green Mountain exchanged wins in the first four matches, but after GMC defeated the Lynx 30-17 in the fourth match, they carried that momentum into the deciding fifth game.  GMC won the tie-breaker 15-11 and took the match 3-2.

Despite the loss, the Lynx remain in good standing to make the North Atlantic Conference playoffs as currently sit at 7-9 (4-2 NAC).  Their next match will be at Regis College on Saturday October 13 at 10 a.m.
