THE LEAD – The Lynx lost to Eastern Nazarene in a critical conference matchup. Eastern Nazarene is now leading the NAC with a 5-0 record, Lesley trailing in the second place slot with a 3-2 conference record.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Jessica Legendre and Mary Osucha snagged another doubles win to continue their undefeated streak on the season. Jordan Blair and Brooke Whitten also pulled out a win in their doubles match to give Lesley a 2-1 lead heading into singles.
  • Eilym Gomez gave Eastern Nazarene the point to tie the match after beating Whitten 6-4, 6-1. Katie Cawthorne and Blair finished next, Cawthorne winning 7-5, 6-0.
  • Osucha dropped her first singles match of the season to Sara Poletto with 6-4. 6-4 to increase the Lions lead. The Lynx continued to go scoreless for the next two singles matches.
  • Lucy Boyce had another nail biter of a match against Jenna Schlosser. Boyce and Schlosser went into a tie breaking third set, Boyce pulled ahead and secured the win for the Lynx.
