GAME OVERVIEW:
ARLINGTON, MA.-- The Lesley Women's Tennis team fell to the Salem State Vikings 7-2 on Thursday afternoon. The Lynx fall to 0-8 overall this season, while the Vikings move up to 2-6.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Salem State picked up two out of three wins in the doubles matches, but the Lynx made it difficult for them. Carolyn Brazil and Jordan Blair earned a win for the Lynx in doubles #3 by taking down Miah Reyes and Cassie Liu, while Brooke Whitten and Morgan Anderson lost doubles #1 to Anastasia Startseva and Alexandria Floyd.
- The Lynx were almost able to pick up a second win in doubles, but Joselyn Martinez and Annie Dai ultimately fell to Sam Tenney and Abbie Laliberte. The Lynx pair battled into a tiebreaker, where Tenney and Laliberte were able to put it away 7-2.
- Brazil scored her second win of the day in singles #5, taking down Reyes in two 6-0 sets. That was the only success the Lynx would have, as Whitten fell to Startseva in two 6-0 sets and Anderson was beaten by Floyd 6-3 and 6-1. Dai battled back against Laliberte in their second set, but Laliberte earned the win 6-1 and 6-4. Blair lost to Liu 6-0 and 6-3.
- Martinez nearly earned another win for the Lynx, taking Tenney to a tiebreaker once again. As in doubles, Tenney prepared in the tiebreaker by a score of 10-2
