GAME OVERVIEW:
BANGOR, ME.-- The Lesley Women's tennis team dropped a road match against Husson College on Sunday afternoon 8-1. The Lynx drop to 0-5 overall, while the Eagles advance to 4-1.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Husson earned a sweep in the doubles portion of the day, led by Hannah Malinen and Natalie Tilton defeating Morgan Anderson and Brooke Whitten in doubles #1 on a tiebreaker. Nicci Munroe and Molly Chicoine beat Joselyn Martinez and Annie Dai 8-1, while Marisa Brown and Lexi Thompson took down Brenna Peterson and Tallin Goldberg in an 8-0 sweep.
- Husson picked up enough singles victories to clinch the match, so Whitten and Malinen played an 8 game pro-set, which Whitten won to earn Lesley their one win on the day. Anderson and Malinen did the same, with Malinen sweeping 8-0.
- Emily Doten picked up a win for Husson against Joselyn Martinez 6-1 and 6-2, while Munroe beat Annie Dai in two 6-0 sets. Husson clicnehd the match with wins by Brown and Chandler over Peterson and Goldberg.
