GAME OVERVIEW:
NEW LONDON, NH.-- The Lesley women's tennis team lost to Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday afternoon in their first match of the 2021 season. The Lynx fall to 0-1 to open the year, while the Chargers advance to 3-1.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- The Chargers swept the doubles portion of the match only giving up four total points throughout the three matches. Grace Carpenter and Lindsay Macdonald led the way for Colby-Sawyer, beating Morgan Anderson and Brooke Whitten 8-3.
- Macdonald get the edge on Whitten again in singles #1, 6-0 and 6-1, while Carpenter took down Anderson in singles #2 by scores of 6-0 and 6-0.
- Amelia Campanella beat Joselyn Martinez for the Chargers 6-0 and 6-1, while Mei Genest took down Annie Dai 6-1 and 6-0.
- Brenna Peterson lost singles #5 by 6-0 and 6-0 scores to Olivia Corrigan, while Margaret Fox beat Jordan Blair 6-1 and 6-0.
