Tennis Bested by Corsairs, 7-2

GAME OVERVIEW:

DARTMOUTH, Mass.-- The Lesley women's tennis team dropped their second non-conference match in as many days to UMass Dartmouth, 7-2 Friday afternoon.  The loss gives gives the Lynx a 3-3 split on the season while the Corsairs jump to a 3-0 start.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • UMass Dartmouth kicked off the match with a 3-0 sweep in doubles. 
  • Maddie Abbott picked up the win for the Lynx in the No. 1 singles slot beating Jaime Fastino 6-4,6-2.
  • Grace Jovanovich claimed the other win for the Lynx.  With scores of 7-5 and 6-1, she bested Jackie Kokis in the No. 4 position.
  • Summer Lamprey and Kiki Karavas took their competition to tie breakers, but were unable to secure victories giving the Corsairs victories in the No. 2, No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 single matches.
