GAME OVERVIEW:
Boston, Mass.-- The visiting Lynx women's tennis team got shut out by the Simmons Sharks in a non-conference match Thursday afternoon. The 9-0 sweep gave the Sharks their first win on season to improve to 2-1 while, the loss drops the Lynx to an even 1-1.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Simmons opened the doubles portion with a clean 3-0 sweep, only allowing the Lynx to knock off 7 total points.
- The Shark's attack continued through singles, not allowing the Lynx to win a match to earn the 9-0 victory.
- Lynx newcomer, Summer Lamprey (Webster, Mass.) put up a competitive battle in the No. 5 singles slot before falling to Carrie St. Peter in a 7-6 (2) first set, and 6-4 in the second.
