Women's Tennis Gives Back at Cradles to Crayons

BOSTON, Mass. – This past weekend, the Lesley University women's tennis team gave back to the local community by volunteering their time at Cradles for Crayons. Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school and at play. They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that are fortunate to be able to give with communities that are in need.

The team spent time at the warehouse in Brighton sorting clothes, toys, and books and compiling packages for children that are in need. This marks the third straight year the women's tennis team has given their time and effort to Cradles to Crayons.

Last year, Cradles to Crayons provided, free of charge, packages of clothes, shoes, books, toys, baby safety equipment and school supplies to 87,000 children in Massachusetts and the Philadelphia area.
