True, Iverson earn wins, but Pride trumps Lynx, 7-2

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- The Lynx captured two singles points, but Regis took all three doubles points in taking a 7-2 win over host Lesley on Thursday night in New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis play.

Regis' Abigail Wehr and Jazz Hicks earned victories in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, and teamed to top Lesley's lead doubles duo of Emma True and Molly Phelps in No. 1 doubles.  Jewel Medeiros bested Phelps in fourth singles, and Caroline Roche beat Aleena Naqvi in fifth singles after teaming for a second doubles win as Regis improved to 8-1.

For Lesley, Carissa Iverson earned her first win as a Lynx, outlasting Regis' Erika Palmer in three sets, and True earned a 6-4, 6-2 win over Kendall Kolb.

Lesley returns to play Sunday at home vs. Mitchell, while Regis travels to Bay Path on Monday.
