CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Becker College improved to 3-2 in New England Collegiate Conference play and 4-5 overall with an 8-1 win over host Lesley University on Saturday in women's tennis action at the Nicholas Athletics Center.
Nicole Connolly and Kathleen Razzaboni picked up quick wins in first and second singles, respectively, and teamed for an 8-0 win over Hannal Phalen and Jillian Clarke in top doubles play. Kerry Saltvick topped Aleena Naqvi 6-3, 6-3 in fourth singles, and Shauna Buckley beat Carissa Iverson 6-2, 6-3 in sixth singles for the Hawks, which took all six singles competition.
Buckley and Saltvick teamed for an 8-1 third doubles win over Naqvi and Iverson.
For the Lynx, Emma True and Molly Phelps won a third straight second doubles point, defeating Anna Plip and Cameron Murphy 9-7 for Lesley's only point.
The Lynx (0-7, 0-5 NECC) return to the courts on Tuesday at Newbury.
