NEW LONDON, CT -- Lesley's Emma True earned points in third singles and second doubles, but Lesley fell 7-2 to Mitchell College in road New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis play on Saturday.

The sophomore topped Julie Embly 6-0, 6-1 in No. 3 singles and teamed with Molly Phelps to defeat Alexa Litwak and Jenn Schmidt 8-3 in second doubles. Anchored by Carly Peterson's points in top singles and No. 1 double play, Mitchell captured all seven remaining points in the 7-2 victory.

With the win, Mitchell improved to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in NECC play, while Lesley drops to 0-4 and 0-2 in conference action.

The Lynx return to play on Monday at 4:00 p.m., traveling to non-confernece opponent Anna Maria College.
