BOSTON -- Four Wentworth player captured both singles and doubles points as WIT spoiled Lesley's season opener with a 9-0 victory over the Lynx at Harvard's Beren Tennis Center.
Caitlin Corocoran defeated Lesley's Katie Side 6-2, 6-1 in top singles play, and Olivia Hegner bested Brenna Donovan 6-0, 6-4 in second singles. Deborah Massaro defeated Hannah Phalen 6-0, 6-0 in third singles, and Virginia Oder knocked off Jillian Clarke by the same score in fourth singles.
On the doubles side, Ofer and Corcoran beat Side and Donovan 8-1, and the team of Hegner and Massaro upended Phalen and Clarke 8-0 in second singles.
Lesley returns to the courts on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Lynx home opener against Mount Ida College.
