CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley University senior Michelle Side was named All-New England Collegiate Conference First Team, the league announced Monday.

The Lynx also won the NECC's Team Sportsmanship Award.

Playing exclusively in the team's top singles position, Side went 6-5 overall, including 6-3 from the No. 1 singles spot in NECC play, winning five of her first seven matches.

Teamed with sister Katie Side, Michelle went 5-5 in No. 1 doubles play, going 4-4 from the top spot in NECC matches.

The duo also led the Lynx to the league's Team Sportsmanship Award, as voted on by opposing teams.

Lesley opened the season 5-3 but finished 5-8, going 5-5 in conference and losing 5-1 to Bay Path on Friday in NECC Semifinals action.
