Lynx fall to 5-3 in NECC, tripped up at first-place Becker

LEICESTER, MA -- First-place Becker College won all nine points in improving to 12-1 on the season with a 9-0 win over the visiting Lynx Tuesday in New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis play.

NECC Player of the Week Michelle Side dropped only her second league decision of the season in falling, 6-4, 6-2, to Megan Nessen. Michelle and Katie Side lost, 8-3, in first singles play to Nessen and Laura Mimms, and the rest of the Lynx could not pick up a point as the team dropped to 5-4 overall and 5-3 in NECC play. 

Becker improved to 7-0 in league play, 12-1 overall.

Lesley returns to the court tomorrow a 6:00 p.m. at home against Bay Path.
