CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Lesley's Michelle Side was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week following a 2-0 effort in first singles play.

Side defeated Kristen Conners of Newbury, 7-5, 6-2, on Tuesday in the Lynx 6-3 victory. The senior defeated Mackenzie Flanagan 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in a 9-0 win at Mitchell on Saturday, her second victory of the season over Flanagan and the only person to defeat her this season.

The Lynx senior also earned a doubles victory in her team's win at Mitchell, pairing with sister Katie Side to go 1-0 on the week.

At 5-3 overall and 5-2 in NECC play, Side and the Lynx return to play at first-place Becker on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
