NEW LONDON, CT -- Lesley won all six singles and all three doubles points in a 9-0 victory over Mitchell College in New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis play Saturday afternoon.

Brenna Donovan improved to 5-0 in singles play on the season with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Jaimee Topkin and remained undefeated at 5-0 in doubles play, teaming with Nicole Smith for an 8-1 win over Topkin and Julie Embley.

The most entertaining match came at the top singles spot, where Lesley's Michelle Side dropped the opening set to Mackenzie Flanagan but rallied back to win by scores of 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Side has now defeated Flanagan in each of their two meetings this season, the only two singles losses on the year for the Mitchell sophomore.

Lesley's Hannah Phalen won 8-4 in sixth singles, picking up her first Lynx victory as the team improved to 5-3 overall and 5-2 in NECC play.

Phelan, Side and the Lynx return to play on Tuesday at 3:00 at first-place Becker College.
