CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Women's tennis' Nicole Smith has been named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week after a 2-0 week in a pair of victories for the first place Lynx.

The Lynx second singles player defeated Regis' Caroline Roach, 6-2, 6-2, in Lesley's 5-4 win over the Pride and yesterday knocked off Mitchell's Amanda Resnick, 6-0, 6-0, also in No. 2 singles.

On the doubles side, she teamed with Brenna Donovan for a pair of wins, going 2-0 in singles play and 2-0 in doubles action, helping lead the Lynx to a 3-0 first place start to the NECC slate.

At 3-1 overall, Lesley returns to play at Bay Path College on Wednseday at 3 p.m.
