THE LEAD – The Lynx hosted MIT, who are ranked #9 in the nation for a non-conference matchup.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MIT put their first goal of the game on the board in the eighth minute when Sean Luk crossed a pass over to Meagan Rowlett on the left wing who tucked the ball into the right corner of the Lynx' net.
- Just a few minutes later Rowlett tacked on another goal, unassisted.
- Rowlett snagged an assist a minute later after sending the ball up to Ashley English giving the Engineers a 3-0 lead.
- English struck again, unassisted a minute later.
- MIT added two more goals to the board, from Lexi Spinetta and Katherine Ruan to head into halftime with a 6-0 lead.
- In the 63rd minute of the match Kylie Chagnon scored off of a corner from Zoe Curtaz to give the Lynx their first goal of the match.
- Lesley kept the Engineers scoreless in the second, but weren't able to chip away at the lead, losing the match 6-1.
WINNING PERFORMANCES
- The Lynx led the match 4-1 on corner kicks.
- Madison Reed made seven saves in the net for the Lynx.

The Lynx are back on the pitch Wednesday, October 18th when they head to Rhode Island College for a non-conference matchup.
