THE LEAD – The Lynx lost to Suffolk for the second time in history after a 2-0 shutout in last nights game. The Lynx controlled majority of the game and outshot Suffolk 4-3 but were unable to get one by Suffolk's goalie Arden Ferrari-Henry.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Just over 13 minutes into the action Suffolk broke onto the scoreboard. Isa Pereza dribbled the ball down the midfield and found a diving Klaudia Rushi ahead at the 20-yard line. The senior captain received the pass for a one-on-one with Lynx netminder Lauren Lacy. Rushi pulled the keeper out of position and shot high left to make it 1-0 Rams early.
  • About 10 minutes later, Lesley had a chance to catch Ferrari-Henry off guard and level the playing field. Unfortunately for Lesley Haile Carrillo-Hayes was called offside, keeping Suffolk up 1-0.
  • After a Suffolk foul, the Lynx took a free kick at the Rams' 35-yard line. Makena Columbus deflected the kick and it bounced to the midfield where Lily Goldmann was able to pick up the pieces. The freshman zoomed down the field, flew past three Lesley defenders and only Lacy stood between her and her first goal of her collegiate career. With the Lynx keep pulled to the right, Goldman target the opposite side of the net and connected to double the distance at the 69:46-mark.
