Five Players Score for Lynx in 6-0 Win Over Hawks

GAME OVERVIEW:

CAMBRIDGE, MA. -- The Lesley Women's soccer team dominated with a balanced attack in a 6-0 win over the Becker Hawks. The Lynx improve to 5-1 and 1-0 in conference play on the season, while the Hawks fall to 3-5-1 and 0-1 in the conference.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Sophomore Tayla Mayberry got the scoring started early, delivering a strike down the middle in the 7th minute of the game for her third goal of the season.
  • The Lynx hit their stride before halftime and scored three goals within seven minutes. Chloe Kouyoumdjian scored her team-leading fourth of the season with an assist from Julia Cohn, Claire Hounslow notched her second off the season on a header off a corner kick by Kerrie Larson, and freshman Alex Carruth scored the first goal of her Lynx career.
  • Kouyoumdjian also notched an assist on Calli Masters' third goal of the season in the game's 61st minute.
  • Hounslow scored her second goal of the night in the 86th minute to put the Lynx up by six.
  • Goalies Jill Narby and Remington Hasley kept the Hawks off the board, with each grabbing one save. The Lynx outshot Becker 11-2, with Hounslow's four leading the team.
  • Larson and the Lynx defense put up a tough front against the Hawks, limiting their shot opportunities by offering a strong physical effort.
