GAME OVERVIEW:
Chicopee, Mass.-- Rachel Buckley netted the lone goal of the afternoon to lift the visiting Lynx squad over Elms college 1-0 Saturday afternoon. With the win, Lesley improves to 4-3 and 2-0 in NECC play, while the Blazers are 5-3-1 and 1-1 in conference.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Elms was out-shot 18-3 in the contest but kept the Lynx off the scoreboard through 90 minutes to force overtime. Lesley, however got the game-winner in the 99th minute when Rachel Buckley slotted a ball to the far post past Blazer goalkeeper Rebecca Molin for the victory. The Lynx also held the advantage in corner kicks, 4-2.
- Samantha Bessey and Jordan Mitchell each had three shots in the game for Lesley while Xaelel Allen-Caballero, Kyra Harbus, Claire Hounslow, and Buckley each added two.
- The Lynx defense only allowed the Blazers to get off two shots in the second half, and none in overtime to help preserve the win.
