CHESTNUT HILL, MA -- Jenna Fralick scored a pair of goals in Lesley's 4-0 shutout of Newbury on Saturday, capping an undefeated regular season in New England Collegiate Conference play.
Freshman Jackee Sanchez put the Lynx (11-5-2, 6-0-1) on the board at 7:35, blasting a shot past goalkeeper Kimberly Bibby from under 10 yards on a pass from Jamie Coyne. For Sanchez, it was her sixth goal of the season.
With under 5:00 remaining in the half and the Lynx still clinging to the narrow lead, Fralick scored her first of two on the day, this coming on a putback off a Katherine Bradley shot.
Up 2-0 at intermission, Lesley outshot the Nighthawks 8-2, totaling all of the half's corner kicks.
Fralick tied Sanchez for second on the team in goals at 71:22, taking a feed from Emma Fogg and sending it to the left of new Newbury keeper Rachel Wyszynski. For Fralick, it was her first multi-point game since scoring two goals against Wisconsin Lutheran on September 12.
Not to be outdone, team scoring leader Kate Ryder tallied her ninth goal of the season at 80:19, closing out a 4-0 victory.
In goal for the Lynx, Corinne Dasti made one save for the shutout.
Lesley now secures a bye for the first round of the NECC Playoffs and will host a home playoff contest Thursday night.
