Durben nets hat trick in 6-0 win over Mass Maritime

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University women's soccer team remained unbeaten in 2008 after defeating Massachusetts Maritime Academy 6-0 on Saturday afternoon led by Alyson Durben's (Stow, Mass.) seven points.  The Lynx improved to 5-0-0 (0-0-0 NECC) while the Buccaneers dropped to 1-2-0 (0-0-0 MASCAC).

Durben netted a hat trick against Mass Maritime and assisted on another goal for the high powered Lynx offense.  She scored the game's first goal in the 13th minute with an assist from Lani Cabral-Pini (Wilmington, Mass.).  Cabral-Pini would finish with two assists on the day, bringing her season total to five.

The team's leading scorer, Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) scored her ninth and tenth goals of the season against Mass Maritime with a score in the first and second halves.

Lesley's freshmen would get into the mix as well as Haley Puckhaber (Lake Placid, N.Y.) would find Jenna Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) for a goal in the 41st minute of the match.  For Puckhaber it would be her first collegiate point as a Lynx.

Lynx keeper Miranda Matson (Gigs Harbor, Wash.) escaped the day with just one shot on goal and one save as Buccaneer's striker Rebecca Luciani (Wakefield, Mass.) had their only attack of the game.

Lesley will be back in action on Tuesday, September 16 at 2:30 pm at Gordon College.  Mass Maritime will host Coast Guard Academy on September 17 for a 7:00 pm contest.
