Conference play concludes with Lynx shutout

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lynx, led by two freshman, improved their North Atlantic Conference record to 6-3-1 with a 3-0 victory over Bay Path College.

Freshman Lauren Mastellone (Howell, N.J.) scored two goals early in the first half to give the Lynx a comfortable 2-0 advantage going into halftime against Bay Path.  Both goals were unassisted and came at 9:43 and 12:28, respectively.  Mastellone raised her season totals to 15 goals, 3 assists, and 33 points.

Alyson Durben (Stow, Mass.) put the game away for good in the second half off a beautiful pass from Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.).  Durben converted her only shot of the game into a goal at 56:00, in only 27 minutes of play.

Sophomore goalie Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) posted her 8th shutout of the season with the help of defensive backs Cathryn Folkestad (Ipswich, Mass.), Dory LeCount (Waltham, Mass.), Sarah Etzel (Manorville, N.Y.) and Luisa Florez (Ridgefield Park, N.J.).

This was Lesley's final game against a conference opponent in the regular season.  Their next match up will be Thursday October 25 at 7:30 p.m. against UMass-Boston.
