Women's soccer tie Becker

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lesley University overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to Becker but were unable to find the game winner as they tied after 110 minutes of grueling soccer. With the tie the Lady Lynx ended their three game losing skid.

The scoring started when Becker defender Sarah Lennon scored in the 24th minute. Both teams played hard energized soccer but there would be no more scoring in the first and as halftime came it was Becker 1-0.

The Becker lead did not last very long in the second half. Lynx midfielder Lani Cabral-Pini (Wilmington, Mass.) netted the tying goal in the 49th minute, just four minutes into the second half. Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) who has lately been teaming up with Lani was credited with the assist.

The teams battled back and forth through the two overtimes but neither team was able to take the lead. Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) had another outstanding game for the Lady Lynx as she had a season high 17 saves.

With the tie the Lady Lynx move to 2-4-2 (0-3-1 NAC) on the season. For more information on the Lesley women's soccer team please go to their website.
