PEMBROKE, N.H. - The Lesley University rowing team had a successful weekend at the New Hampshire Championships in Pembroke, NH on the Merrimack River.
The team raced in the Novice 4, Open 4, Open 2x, and Open 8 events. The best showing of the day came from the Open 2x made up of Jackie Barnes (Ridgefield, Conn.) and Becca Koval (Sherman, Conn.) as finished in 3rd place with a time of 21:26.
The Novice 4 B posted an 8th place finish at 22:33 which was the best mark for a novice boat this fall season. The four was made up rowers Danielle Dickshinkski (Waterbury, Conn.), Miriam Fagan (Cambridge, Mass.), Victoria Cleaver (Merrimac, Mass.), Sheila Thompson (Plymouth, Mass.), and coxswain Claudia Chauca (Revere, Mass.).
The Novice A finished in last place on Saturday, with a time of 23:30.
The rowing team will look to continue their impressive fall season at the Collegiate 4 race at the Head of the Charles on Saturday afternoon, October 20. Information on attending and directions for the regatta will soon be available.
