CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – First year shortstop MJ Jones has been named to the 2024 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Softball All-Conference Team, it was announced by the conference office on Thursday, May 16.
Jones earned Second Team All-Conference honors following a stellar rookie campaign in which she ranked in the top-10 in eight categories across the NAC. She closed the regular-season ranked tied for second in games started (33) and tied for third in games played. Her three home runs ranked tied for fourth while her 53 total bases were also good for a share of fourth overall. The California native collected 23 RBI to rank seventh while her nine doubles ranked tied for eighth to go along with a ninth-place ranking in hits (33). She also stole 10 baes to rank 10th overall in the conference. The middle infielder posted 11 multi-hit games on the year and led the Lynx in almost every offensive category.
First year Leah St. John was the Lesley representative on the 2024 NAC Softball All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Lynx finished the 2024 campaign with an overall record of 7-26 including a 4-8 mark in NAC East action, a .400% increase in conference wins from a year ago.
