NFCA RELEASE

Cambridge, Mass. - Sophomore Jordan Day (Seminole, FL.), landed on the All-New England Region First Team as the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its 2019 Division III All-Region teams on Wednesday afternoon. Day was selected as the New England Region First Team Designated Player. Day is one of six representatives from the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) to receive an all-region selection. Last season, Day was selected to the All-New England Region Third Team. The NFCA honored 364 different student-athletes spread across eight different regions.

• Day leads the Lynx in nearly every statistical category. The sophomore has racked up a .578 batting average as well as 78 hits, 51 runs scored, 15 doubles, nine home runs, 45 RBI's, a .904 slugging percentage, .597 on-base percentage, and 122 total bases on the season.
• In terms of conference, Day set single season records in the NECC in overall hits and batting average. Meanwhile, Day's overall total bases, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage were enough for the second most all-time in a single season. Day also placed top five in runs scored and RBI's in a single season from an NECC athlete overall.
• Amongst the New England Region, Day ranks high in many statistical categories. Day holds a top ten ranking in: hits (1^st), batting average (1^st), on-base percentage (1^st), slugging percentage (1^st), runs (1^st), runs scored per game, 1.28 (1^st), toughest to strikeout, 1.000 (1^st), total bases (2^nd), RBI's (4^th), home runs (T-5^th), and RBI's per game (8^th). All statistics recorded pre-super regionals.

All-Region players are nominated and selected by NFCA member coaches in each of the eight Division III regions. First team All-Region choices are eligible for selection to the NFCA All-America team, which will be announced the evening of May 22 online at NFCA.org and in person at the NCAA Division III Championship banquet in Tyler, Texas.
