  • Day Tabbed as NFCA Division III First Team All-American

    Cambridge, Mass. - Sophomore Jordan Day (Seminole, FL.), was selected as a First Team All-American at the designated player position, as the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its 2019 Division III All-American selections on Wednesday evening at the NCAA Division III Championship banquet in Tyler, Texas. Day, who was named a Pre-Season DIII All-American by Fast Pitch News, is one of 46 players chosen for the 2019 NFCA Division III All-America softball teams. Day is the first Lesley softball student-athlete, and the first New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) softball student-athlete to receive an All-American accolade.

    Cambridge, Mass. - Sophomore Jordan Day (Seminole, FL.), landed on the All-New England Region First Team as the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its 2019 Division III All-Region teams on Wednesday afternoon. Day was selected as the New England Region First Team Designated Player. Last season, Day was selected to the All-New England Region Third Team Day is one of four representatives from the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) to receive an all-region selection. The NFCA honored 364 different student-athletes spread across eight different regions.
  • NECC Tournament: #4 Lynx Close Season with Loss to #1 ENC

    Quincy, MA. - #4 Lesley University softball finished its season after a 13-0 loss to #1 Eastern Nazarene College (ENC), in five innings, on Saturday afternoon at Mitchell/McCoy Field. The Lynx finish 2-2 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) tournament play. Lesley post to 25-15 overall record at the end of season, while the Lions improve to 26-13.
  • NECC Tournament: #4 Lesley best #6 Newbury, 9-2

    Boston, MA. - Lesley University softball picked up a win against Newbury College, 9-2, on Friday evening at Carr Softball Diamond. With the win, Lesley advance to loser bracket championship of New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) tournament. The Lynx move to 25-14 overall, while the Nighthawks conclude season with a record of 13-26.

    Quincy, MA. - #4 Lesley University softball was beaten by #1 Eastern Nazarene College, 7-1, on Thursday afternoon at Mitchell/McCoy Field. The Lynx now move to the loser’s bracket in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) tournament. Lesley move to 24-14 overall, while the Lions improve to 25-12.

    Revere, MA. - Lesley University softball used two homeruns in the fourth inning to take a 3-1 win over Elms College on Tuesday evening at Ardagna Field. With the win, Lesley advance to the New England Colligate Conference tournament double elimination bracket. The Lynx move to 24-13 overall, while the Blazers end its season with a record of 12-22-1.
  • Lynx Conclude Regular Season With Sweep of Bulldogs

    Franklin, MA. - Lesley University softball closed its regular season with sweep of Dean College on Saturday afternoon at Grant Field. In game one, the Lynx came away with an 8-7 win. While in game two, Lesley posted a three runs in the top of the seventh to win 4-1. The Lynx improve to 23-13 overall, meanwhile it moves to 11-5 in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action.     Longmeadow, MA. - Lesley University softball claimed two wins during doubleheader with Bay Path College on Wednesday afternoon at Varsity Field. In game one, the Lynx came away with a 7-3 win. While in game two, Lesley posted a 9-0 shutout after five innings. The Lynx improve to 21-13 overall, while it moves to 9-5 in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action. The Wildcats move to 9-19 record on the season, 0-12 in conference play.
  • Lesley Score 19 Runs and Allow Just Three Hits in Senior Day Sweep of Newbury

    Revere, MA. - Lesley University softball pulled out two wins, on Senior Night, during doubleheader with Newbury College on Friday evening at Adagna Field. In game one, the Lesley offense posted 11 runs in an 11-5 win. Meanwhile in game two, Lesley allowed just one hit in a 8-0 shutout after five innings. The Lynx improve to 19-13 overall, while it moves to 7-5 in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action. The Mariners move to 8-19 record on the season, 5-5 in conference play.
  • Lesley Drop NECC Doubleheader to New England College

    Henniker, N.H. - Lesley University softball fell in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC)  doubleheader with New England College (NEC) on Wednesday afternoon at Old Concord Field. In game one, NEC won 9-0 after five innings. The Pilgrims would take game two, 6-5. The Lynx fall to 17-13 overall, while they move to 5-5 in NECC action. The Pilgrims improve to 20-6 record on the season, 8-2 in conference play.

    Revere, MA. - Lesley University softball split conference doubleheader with Elms College on Sunday Afternoon at Ardagna Field. In game one, Elms won 8-0 after five innings. Meanwhile, Lesley would take game two, 8-1. The Lynx move to 17-11 overall, while they move to 5-3 in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action. The Blazers improve to 8-14 record on the season, 6-2 in conference play.
  • Softball Split with Beacons

    Boston, MA. - Lesley University softball came away with a split on its travels to UMass-Boston on Thursday afternoon at UMB field. In game one, Lesley came from behind to win 5-4. Meanwhile in game two the Beacons used a six run inning to win 6-4 in six innings, due to darkness. The Lynx improve to 16-10 overall, meanwhile the Beacons post a 15-12 record on the season.

    New London, CT. - Lesley University softball turned in two wins during doubleheader against Mitchell College on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field on the campus of Mitchell. In game one, Lesley posted a 5-0 win, while in game two the Lynx held on to a 7-5 victory to complete the series sweep. The Lynx improve to 15-9 overall, while it moves to 4-2 in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action. The Mariners move to 7-10 record on the season, 0-4 in conference play.

    East Boston, MA. - Lesley University softball suffered defeats in doubleheader against Suffolk University on Tuesday evening at East Boston Memorial Park. In game one, Lesley fell after a walk off single, 7-6. Meanwhile in game two, the Lynx would lose in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the seventh, 8-7. The Lynx move to 12-8 overall, meanwhile the Rams post a 9-9 record on the season.
  • Lynx Earn Split With Becker
    March 30, 2019
    Waltham, MA - Lesley University softball split home opener versus conference opponent  Becker College on Saturday afternoon at Marcus Field on the campus of Brandeis College. The Lynx started the day with an offensive display, 11-3 in five innings, but a late rally from Becker earned themselves a split with the Lynx for game 2, 6-5. The Lynx open the conference play with a 1-1 record, and 12-6 on the season. Becker also open conference action 1-1 while improving to 6-10 on the campaign.

    Framingham, MA. - Lesley University softball completed sweep of Framingham State University (FSU) on Thursday afternoon at Maple Street Field on the campus of FSU. In Game 1, Lesley picked up five runs in the fifth inning for a comeback victory, 7-6. In game 2, the Lynx scored nine runs in the final three innings for a comfortable 10-4 victory in six innings. Lesley improve to 11-5 overall, while the Rams fall to 5-9 on the season.
  • Lesley Take Pair Of Games From Regis

    Weston, MA. - Lesley University softball picked up two close wins against Regis College on Sunday afternoon at Regis Field. In Game 1, Lesley scored five answered runs to take home a tight 5-4 win.  Game 2 saw the Lynx control the contest from the beginning with a close 4-2 win. The Lynx boost their record 9-5 record, Regis drop to 1-9 overall on the year.

    Boston, MA - Lesley University softball were swept by Emerson College on Thursday afternoon at Roach Field on the campus of Emerson College. The Lions jumped on the Lynx early winning 11-2 in five innings in game one, Emerson then were able to prevail over Lesley after late runs in game two, 5-2. The Lynx fall to 7-5 record, Emerson advance to 9-5 overall.

    Naples, FL - Lesley University softball concluded its Florida trip with two wins on Thursday afternoon in Naples, FL. Lesley started the day with a narrow 7-6 victory over Pitt.-Bradford, followed by an offensive shootout versus Nazareth College, 17-12. The Lynx boost its record to 7-3, Pitt.-Bradford fall 4-5, while Nazareth drop to 3-4. The Lynx finish 7-3 overall during their time in Florida, including winning the final six games.

    Fort Myers, FL - Lesley University softball continued its success in Fort Myers, Florida on Wednesday afternoon. Lesley started the day with close a 10-8 victory over Wilmington College (OH.), followed by a late rally to win versus Blackburn College, 5-1. The Lynx boost their record to 5-3, Wilmington (OH.) fall to 5-2, while Blackburn drop to 3-6.

    Naples, FL - Lesley University softball hitting came to play on a set of games in Naples, Florida on Monday afternoon. The Lynx started the day with a come from behind victory against Alfred State College, 11-5, then blasted three homeruns in five innings over New Jersey City University, 13-3 final in five innings. The Lynx continue the season with a 3-3 record, Alfred St. fall to 1-4, while New Jersey City University drop to 1-5.

    Naples, FL - Lesley University softball drops set of games in Naples, Florida on Sunday afternoon. The Lynx started the day with a close loss to St. Joseph College (CT.), 8-7, but could not bounce back in the next game against Western Conn. St., 10-2 in five innings. The Lynx continue the season with a 1-3 record, St. Joe’s (CT.) advance to 2-1, while Western Conn. St. improve to 2-1.
  • Lynx Split Opening Slate of Games

    Fort Myers, FL - Lesley University softball split opening games of the season in Fort Myers, Florida on Saturday afternoon. The Lynx started the day with a close loss to Albion College, 3-2, but responded with an impressive win over Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), 11-7. The open season with 1-1 record, Albion advance to 6-7, while RIT fall to 1-1.

Lesley, led by third-year head coach Heather Ross, returns six starters, including the reigning NECC Rookie of the Year and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region selection, Jordan Day (Seminole, Fla.).
