Lynx give way to Fighting Scots, 10-5

CLERMONT, FL -- Lesley fell to 1-3 with a 10-5 loss to Monmouth (IL) Tuesday night at the Dot Richardson National Training Center.

Seniors Alyson Durben and Ashley Cunningham collected two hits for a second straight game, each going 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Six Monmouth players left the time-shortened game with two hits, including all of the top five hitters. The Fighting Scots top five hitters went a combined 10-for-24 with eight runs scored and five RBIs.

Monmouth shortstop Jennifer Krueger went 2-for-5 with three runs scored, and Caitlin Lingle went 2-for-5 with two runs and RBIs.

A game after committing eight errors, Lesley totaled five in six innings. Jennifer Dorval took the first loss of her Lynx career, allowing seven runs - only one earned - in five innings of relief of starter Nicole Mercurio.

Lesley enjoys Tuesday off before returning to play Wednesday with another doubleheader from the Dot Richardson National Training Center.
