Men's Course – 5K

THE LEAD – In its final tuneup before the North Atlantic Conference Championship, the Lesley men's cross country team competed at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet on Friday afternoon. 

LESLEY HIGHLIGHTS

• Making his cross country debut, Paul Adebowale (Basingstoke, United Kingdom) led the way with a time of 20:48.77 (83rd place), and right behind him was also first-time runner Miguel Vasconcelos (Sharon, Mass.) at 20:49.25 (84th place). 
• Johnny Maldonado (Chelsea, Mass.) posted a personal best on the 5k course with a time of 20:49.9 (85th place). 
• Rounding out the finishers for Lesley were Cameron DaRosa (Wells, Maine), Osmin Castaneda (East Boston, Mass.), and Vibol Chiemruom (Tyngsboro, Mass.) at 23:18.53 (87th place), 23:46.27 (88th place), and 28:10.00 (89th place) respectively. 

WINNING PERFORMANCES

• The hosts took home first place with a score of 26 points as the Blue Devils secured four of the top five individual spots. Rounding out the rest of the field was UMass Lowell (2nd place), Merrimack College (3rd place), Hartford (4th place), and finally, Lesley (fifth).

• Lesley concludes its 2024 season in two weeks at the North Atlantic Conference Championship, which will be hosted by SUNY Delhi on Saturday, November 2, at 11 a.m.
